Welcome to the Lechlade History Society WEB Site

The Society was formed in 1988 to research, record and promote interest in the history of Lechlade and its surrounding area, and, where appropriate, to conserve our heritage.


This is achieved through regular meetings with specialist speakers, visits to local sites of historical importance, publication of pamphlets and erection of display boards.


Membership is open to all who share these aims.
